What Little Boys are Made Of

by verdemama on March 31, 2011

Orion has a new friend — a plump little snail plucked a neighbor’s yard during a recent evening walk.

At first he was afraid of it, but he’s since developed an enthusiastic interest and maybe even a bit of affection for this slimy little guy.

The snail hung out with us all day today, reading books, playing with cars and frolicking in the yard. So far he’s been a great pet. Our cat always hightails it to the solitude of the neighbor’s yard when she sees Orion coming, but not this little guy.

Now all we need are some snips (whatever those are) and some puppy dog tails and we will be complete.

He is just darling! I love the photo of him showing the snail his trucks while laying on the floor. Are you looking forward to having 2?

He’s cracking me up how he’s wanting to play and interact with the snail. And yes, we’re very excited for #2! I can’t wait to be entertained by all the cute little things she’ll do as well.

Just wanted to say hi from another Verdemama :) I'm fairly new (less than a year) to the blogworld and I just ran across your blog. Very cute li'l guy and happy birthing to baby #2.

I also happen to LOVE snails, despite what they can do to my garden ;-)

Thanks for stopping by! I wish I shared your love of snails, but I hate them for what they do to my garden! Let’s just say I’m happy this one is living in a jar and not on the loose. :)
